I believe the Bible and its teaching, are the inspired word of God. And, when it says in Romans 8:28,
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God..."
I believe it.
Growing up in a Christian home in southern West Virginia, my earliest recollection of gospel music was attending shape note singing schools with my family. I was saved in the Corrine Missionary Baptist Church at the age of eleven.
"The Lord has always placed me exactly where I needed to be to do His work."
I believe that my calling to sing the Lord's praises was nurtured by my family, because that is what the Lord had planned for me.
At the age of 14, I began singing bass with the Watchmen Quartet. Later, I sang with the Jubileers and Kinsmen Quartets. The Lord has always placed me exactly where I needed to be to do His work. He provided opportunities for me to serve as the music director and treasurer of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for over twenty years. And now, He has given me the privilege of serving Him by singing His praise with the Gospel Harmony Boys. And I believe the best is yet to come!"
